Our Trip To Maui (2016)--Day Zero

So, nearly everything is packed for tomorrow's departure. The Skyline Shuttle will be picking us up at the Proctor Little Store tomorrow morning and taking us to the Minneapolis airport. We'll be staying at the Best Western Dakota Ridge in Eagan overnight. This is the same hotel we stayed at prior to our 2011 Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean Cruises. My good friend Per is hopefully going to hook up with us for dinner--after a quick sleep, we have to arise at 3:30 Saturday morning and depart at 6:30 a.m. on United Airlines. We stop (very) briefly in Los Angeles and then continue on to Maui!
According to the seat map on the United website, both flights from Minneapolis to Maui are full. We've never flown on United before so there is a little apprehension about using this airline. The significantly cheaper prices and the fact they could get us to Maui five hours sooner than Delta Airlines swayed our decision. In fact, it was an easy decision to make despite the fact we have always used Delta on previous flights.
I'm off from work today--Patty is working until noon and then taking in a few rummage sales with her mom. Are we excited to be leaving? Of course--we always are when a Maui trip approaches!
