Our Trip to Maui (2014)--Day Zero

It's the day before we leave for Maui, and everything is packed.

We used to have only carry-on luggage. 9/11, and changes in what we wanted to bring, changed that. Taking longer vacations certainly changed that!
Patty has certain liquid items she needs to bring which won't fit into that 311 bag (for those who don't know, a 311 bag refers to liquids you can bring on a carry-on bag--a single one-quart bag, no more than 3 ounces--this is technically 3.3 ounces, or 100 ml), and with water shoes we like to bring when visiting Hawai`i, and the tripod I like to bring for sunset and nighttime photography, checked luggage is now a necessity.
Still, only three bags for a three week trip? It could be far worse.
We're packed and ready to go!
