Reports are, more than seven inches of rain have fallen in Duluth since last night. We were out in Lakeside but got home just before the flooding started.
This video was shot in front of the building I lived at from 1984-94, about a half mile from downtown. Many manhole covers were blown off during the night's deluge and all that water had to go somewhere!
I was reminded of the flooding Duluth suffered back in August 1972. This appears to be worse, and we still have 1-2 inches of rain predicted to fall during the day, exacerbating an already difficult situation.
